Congratulations to The Beardy McBeardo Faces, winners of the April 19, 2017 Pitch of the Week (POW!) Preliminary Challenge. Team members include Cynthia Ochoa, a junior Communications major who minors in Broadcasting, Karam Khalil, a junior Operations Management major who minors in Real Estate, and Whitney Adindu, a freshman nursing major. Their pitch was for ClearICE: Low-cost dental braces system. The Beardy McBeardo Faces will advance to the final round of POW! to be held on Wednesday April 26 from noon-1:00 in the UTA FabLab. Each member of the winning team at the final round will receive $50 gift cards.
Also playing today were the The Killer Cyborg Beetles including Candace Cantwell, a Junior Business Management major who minors in Accounting, Abel Verdi, a junior Architecture major who minors in Business, and Prathamesh Dabholkar, a freshman Mechanical Engineering major who minors in Aerospace Engineering, and The Lucky Poop Emojis, including Faithful Olaleru, a sophomore Aerospace Engineering major and Phillip Ochieng, a junior Biology major who minors in Chemstry. Each of these competitors get a $10 gift card just for playing!
