My name is Martin Wallace and I am the Maker Literacies and Engineering Liaison Librarian at the University of Texas at Arlington Libraries. I hold a BFA in Sculpture, a BA in Philosophy, and an MLIS, all from The University of North Texas, and an MS in Information Systems from The University of Maine. I have been a library subject specialist to various academic departments in engineering and the sciences for over eleven years. Before coming to UTA, I developed and taught the 3-credit Information Literacy course at the University of Maine. In my new role as UTA’s Maker Literacies Librarian, I am investigating ways to incorporate makerspaces and experiential learning into the undergraduate curriculum. My current research interests are in maker-based curriculum design, instruction and assessment.
You can read about my other research interests, publications and accomplishments on my UTA Profile Page.
